Overview of Youth and Women Empowerment

We Work to Equip Women and Young People with the Skills

Women, girls, and young people in Somalia continue to face significant challenges related to unemployment, gender inequality, exclusion, harmful social norms, conflict, and limited access to economic and social opportunities. As key drivers of community resilience and national development, empowering women and youth is essential for sustainable peace and progress.

HLDI is committed to advancing women’s rights, leadership, protection, and youth empowerment through inclusive, gender-responsive, and community-driven programming. We work to equip women and young people with the skills, opportunities, and support needed to become productive, resilient, and active contributors to peace and development.
