Political dialogue in all its forms is an indispensable instrument in the quest for peace and stability has th world is going a dramatic period of change in the nature of armed conflict and political crisis over the last
two decades. Today intra-state conflict has surpassed inter-state war by far as the dominant form of violent conflict.
This project supported by CAI/USAID was borne out of the need for a strong broad based and inclusive dialogue in Somalia which aimed at identifying and resolving the root causes of conflicts in communities through a national dialogue process that focused on strengthening and increasing opportunities for a National Dialogue and building of consensus on the most salient political, economic, social and human rights issues that are stagnating development of the country.
