Cash For Work Project

The Cash for Work project has been a major source of income for the targeted beneficiaries by injecting cash at household level. This project has been implemented and undertaken by HLDI in an effort to provide support to drought and conflict affected IDPs in the town of Afgoye. Clean-up of schools and markets has been carried out. The market and school cleaning had taken place in the four section of the town as it is doubly regarded as important by the local community as it enables young children to resume their education and promote the level of school’s hygiene. The cleaning of schools has made schools more visible and safe place adapted to children where their needs are met.
